Tony Labrusca on his mom winning Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018: ‘I’m so proud of her!’

<div> </div><p>Among all the people at the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018 Finals Night, no one was more ecstatic than Tony Labrusca when his mom, Angel Jones, was proclaimed the first-ever female Grand Winner of the Ageless category.</p><p>“First of all, woooooh!,” he shouted. “I don’t even know what to feel right now.”</p><p>At that moment, gone was his celebrity status. He was, quite simply, his mother’s son. “This is her moment. This is her dream, and it came true!” Tony waited patiently by the sidelines as his mom attended to mandatory photo ops.</p><p>“I’m so proud of my mom!” Tony has always expressed his support for his mom, and her win is his victory as well. “My mom embodies the whole competition. She lives that lifestyle mentally, physically. This is really for her!”</p><p>Angel has always been a hands-on mom with her kids. “You know, it’s hard when you’re a mom and all you think about are your kids,” she shared. “It’s easy to let go of your career and your dreams. So it’s nice to hear the kids say, you know mom, it’s your turn. <em>Naiiyak na ako</em>!”</p><p>Hearing about Tony’s heartfelt sentiments, Angel got teary-eyed even more. “It was so sweet because, usually, I’m his plus one!”</p><p>“(Tony) was like, ‘Mom, take a break. Just go get it. I know you’re going to be amazing,’” she revealed about her first-born. “It meant the world to me for him to be so supportive. I’ve been supporting his moments, and I’m glad he’s also supporting mine.”</p><div> </div>
