Mari Jasmine’s relationship with Baka Bukas director Samantha Lee recently made headlines after the model confirmed through an Instagram post that she’s had the “privilege of being in love with both men and women” and to “live in a world where I feel safe walking down the street holding my girlfriend’s hand. A world where I have the same fundamental human rights that I would be entitled to if I were in a straight, heteronormative relationship.”

She then received a question on Instagram about her past relationship. “Did you break up with your ex because you realized you wanted the same gender?” and she answered, “No.”
