Vehnee Saturno, ginawaran ng OPM Lifetime Achievement Award

<div> </div><p>OPM icon and composer Vehnee Saturno, who has had a successful 38-year long and counting career, has been recognized by ABS-CBN-owned radio station MOR for his invaluable contribution to Pinoy music. </p><div> </div><p>During the MOR Pinoy Music Awards 2018, some of the most acclaimed artists such as Jessa Zaragoza, Jaya, Jona, Bugoy Drilon, and Daryl Ong performed a medley of hits that the highly-respected composer had written.</p><div> </div><p>&quot;<em>Hindi ko ine</em>-expect <em>na itong </em>MOR <em>eh bibigyan ako ng ganitong klaseng </em>award <em>kaya </em>thankful for recognizing my works,&quot; he said after receiving the award.</p><div> </div><p>Saturno, who is the man behind karaoke favorites like &quot;<em>Wala Na Bang Pag-Ibig</em>,&quot; &quot;<em>Dahil Tanging Ikaw,</em>&quot; &quot;<em>Mula Sa Puso</em>,&quot; &quot;<em>Bakit Pa?</em>,&quot; and &quot;<em>Forever&#x27;s Not Enough</em>&quot; also added that he feels thankful that almost all the songs he has made over the years became hits.</p><div> </div><p>&quot;Well, <em>ang isang malaking kumbaga</em> prize <em>sa isang</em> songwriter is <em>kinakanta </em>&#x27;<em>yung kanta mo</em>, <em>na</em>-aappreciate <em>ng</em> market &#x27;<em>yung kanta mo</em>, &#x27;<em>yung </em>songs <em>mo </em>and continuously <em>nandun ka pa rin.</em> At least <em>nadidinig pa nila ang mga pinagsusulat mo na</em> songs <em>para sa</em> Filipino market,&quot; the 64-year-old composer stated.</p><div> </div><p>Vehnee Saturno is the recipient of this year&#x27;s MOR Pinoy Music Awards OPM Lifetime Achievement Award.</p>
