In an interview with the press September 5, Star Hunt host Robi Domingo answered the question about feeling awkward working with ex-girlfriend Gretchen Ho at the recent Mister and Miss Chinatown pageant last Saturday, September 1.

“Sa totoo may awkwardness on my end, pero hindi siya yung ine-expect na ganun ka smooth, kasi magaling si Gretch,” he shared.

Robi clarified that there is no bad blood between him and Gretchen. He also said that the ‘hugot lines’ they both throw at each other when they work together is just natural banter for them.

“Walang hugot lines at all. Kasi kung ano ang sinabi ko doon, totoo lang and that’s how we talk, kaming dalawa ni Gretch. Wala namang bad blood on that stage, and we’re not doing that to make the people scream,” he explained.

Robi also admitted feeling nervous back then when he needed to meet Gretchen for their show on ABS-CBN Sports and Action, University Town.

“Dati kinakabahan ako everytime magkakaroon kami ng University Town episode. Pero every single week, nagkikita naman kami. Nung una napipilitang magkita, (pero) nang kalaunan na naging comfortable na kami sa isa’t-isa and we have to accept reality as well.”

The 28-year old Kapamilya host also admitted that his break-up with his Gretchen might be one of the triggers of his past anxiety attacks. “Not just that one. Nagkaroon ako ng mga anxiety attacks kasi nag-kumpul kumpol siya. Maybe because of the break up, career wise (din) kasi wala akong na-auditionan agad, and yung fact na yung mga kaibigan ko, naging doktor na.”
