‘Quezon’s Game’ sweeps 12 awards at Cinema World Fest in Canada

<p>It was an easy win for Filipino film Quezon’s Game after taking home a record of 12 awards at the 2018 Cinema World Fest (Autumn Selection) in Canada.</p><p>Centering around President Manuel L. Quezon’s role in the survival of the Jewish people during the Nazi regime, the movie was given the recognitions for Excellence Acting, Original Score, Produced Screenplay, and Merit Drama Feature, among others. </p><figure><iframe allow="encrypted-media" allowtransparency="true" frameBorder="0" height="720" scrolling="no" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpermalink.php%3Fstory_fbid%3D757119967985279%26id%3D241272892903325&amp;width=500" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" width="500"></iframe></figure><p>A joint effort from Star Cinema and streaming service iWant, the Matthew Rosen-directed Quezon’s Game is topbilled by season actors Raymund Bagatsing as Quezon, and Rachel Alejandro as his wife, Aurora.
