As celebrities flocked to different cities around the world for the holiday season, Ian Veneracion was just warming up for his trek up in the Himalayas, a mountain range in Asia and home to Earth’s highest peak, the Mount Everest.

Wednesday marked the seasoned actor’s seventh day of hiking. On Instagram, he shared some of the challenges he and his group have faced as they went higher and farther up the mountains.

“7th day of trekking in the Himalayas with my tribe. Hard to breathe above 10,000 ft., and deadly cold whenever the sun goes down,” said Ian of his experience so far.

Prior to this, the 43-year-old star has given his followers a peek on his journey through snapshots revealing the ethereal view of what would appear as the Mount Everest. Even Iza Calzado, his love team partner in the 2017 horror film Bliss, couldn’t help but be awed of the picturesque landscape.

Apart from his acting prowess and killer looks, Ian is best known for his zeal for adventure. He is, after all, a licensed private and paragliding pilot, skydiver, scuba diver, and rider of the Shell-Yamaha motocross racing team between 2004 and 2006.
