Globe Studios partnered with streaming giant Netflix for an original film called Dead Kids.

Based on true events, acclaimed Mikhail Red, who is behind the masterpieces Birdshot and Eerie, directed the film.

In a press release, Netflix described the film as a "mix of friendship, coming-of-age, thriller, and crime rolled into one, societal eye-opening movie."

Last January, Mikhail Red revealed in a press conference that the film, led by Khalil Ramos and Sue Ramirez, is going to be a different cinematic experience.

On Twitter, Khalil Ramos wrote: "The news is finally out. This is unreal. I’m part of the very FIRST FILIPINO NETFLIX FILM. Wild!!! Could anybody guess which of these goofballs is me? Dead Kids soon on @netflix worldwide! Congrats to the whole team behind Dead Kids!! #DeadKidsOnNetflix."

Apart from Ramos and Ramirez, the film also stars Markus Paterson, Vance Larena, and up-and-coming stars Kelvin Miranda, Gabby Padilla, and Jan Silverio

Dead Kids will follow the story of a socially awkward teen who bonds with a group of misfits. They abduct the school’s arrogant rich kid and their kidnapping scheme soon turns deadly.

While there is no official release date yet, Dead Kids is set to stream on Netflix later this year.
