Darren Espanto took on a prank call challenge in a brand new episode of MTV Asia’s show called 5 in 5.

As part of his appearance on MTV Asia, Darren Espanto did two sets of challenges with the Singapore-based music channel.

Dubbed ‘D Total Performer Darren Espanto made his voice sound like a chipmunk through the use of a helium balloon.

Unfortunately, Kyle Echarri didn’t fall for the carbon fiber socks he offered - leading him to burst into laughter and eventually got recognized by Echarri.

Apart from the prank call, he also did other things like Spicy Wing Challenge, Ugly Selfie Challenge, and sang while jumping ropes.

The 18-year-old singer also took on the challenge of doing five things he always shied away from doing - including drinking ginger juice, touching a spider, and sending a direct message to his idol - Fil-Am singer Bruno Mars, among others.

Darren Espanto was hailed first runner-up in the inaugural season of The Voice Kids of the Philippines.
