Photos of a ‘thin’ Celine Dion have been making rounds online, and her loyal followers couldn’t help but express their concern for her on social media. Meanwhile, several fans came to her defense after body shamers compared her looks to Mariah Carey, who is just two years younger than her.

While there are those who feel worried about her, there are also those who couldn’t stop themselves from uttering their disapproval over her slim physique. In an interview with U.K.-based newspaper The Sun, the 50-year-old French-Canadian singer took the opportunity to address the different criticisms thrown against her.

“If I like it, I don't want to talk about it," she said. "Don't bother. Don't take a picture,” she told The Sun’s Dan Woolton.

Making it clear that she feels unbothered by all of it, the “My Heart Will Go On” hitmaker revealed her new look makes her feel empowered now more than ever. “I’m doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy."

Likewise, Celine Dion cleared that she has no time for body shamers.

"If you like it, I'll be there," Dion said. "If you don't, leave me alone.

Celine Dion came to Manila for the first time last year, staging two sold-out concerts at the Mall of Asia Arena.
