On Twitter, comedian Vice Ganda lashed out in a series of rage tweets after several netizens called him out for lacking empathy and being insensitive.

It all started when the It's Showtime host, who was then at New York for his 'Ang Fantastic ng Vaklang Twoooh' concert, shared his plans to go shopping in the midst of the ongoing chaos on social media.

"Andaming nag-aaway, andaming galit andaming nagkakagulo sa Twitter, sa FB sa IG. Valakayojen!!!! Shopping muna ko. More shoes! More outfit! More fun! My life is sooooo good," he wrote.

But some netizens seemed to have felt displeased with his remark, saying his tweet reeks of privilege.

"This tweet reeks of privilege. But what do we expect from her," wrote one netizen. "Makabili din sana siyang sensitivity and empathy," the netizen added.

"Sobra. Insensitive na, privilege[d] pa," another netizen wrote.

As soon as he landed in Calgary, Canada for the next stop of his show, Vice Ganda went on a Twitter rage and decided to vent out his anger, not mincing words against his detractors.

"Nag-tweet lang ako ng magsha-shopping ako sinabihan na ko ng mga feeling woke ng 'privileged’! Bakit ako lang ba nakakapag-shopping sa buong mundo? Mga shunga! Punta ka ng mall kahit walang trabaho nagsha-shopping! Dunung dunungan ang mga p**ahang feeling woke," he wrote, defending his previous tweet.

He then went on: "Sa mga Pilipino di pagiging ‘PRIVILEGED’ ang pagshashopping. Kahit mahirap nasa mall at may binibili. Kaya nga andaming mall sa Pinas dahil trip yan ng mga Pinoy. At kahit isa lang ang binili mo at sale pa shopping pa din 'yun."

Vice Ganda also said he need not brag about his capability to afford expensive stuff as everyone knows he is a millionaire, who worked hard for the money he has.

"And I don't have to brag about my monetary capabilities. Everybody knows I'm a millionaire because I'm a hardworking Filipino. B**ch! Sabay hampas ng balakang. Catwalk. Exit," he wrote.

The 43-year-old Kapamilya celebrity even went as far as exposing the netizens who called him out.

"Eto 'yung ilan sa mga muntik ng ma-stroke dahil sa pagsha-shopping ko. I do not know lang ha! Kissshhhh nga mga mamshies," he tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the exchange of conversation between the some of the netizens whom he was referring to in his tweets.

Vice Ganda also stated those who pretend to be 'woke' are some of the most toxic people on social media.

"'Yung mga feeling WOKE at mga WOKE WOKAN ang mga pinakatoxic na tao sa social media. Sa true. Sa real," he tweeted.

The comedian ended his series of tweets by giving his two cents on the use of the word empathy.

"You don’t just say or tweet the word EMPATHY. You stand up and help. May mga natulungan na ba kayo? May mga nasagip na ba kayo? Maka-empathy lang ang mga po**h! Nag-shopping lang wala ng empathy! Empathy mo mukha mo," he wrote.

Telling fans that he enjoyed his Twitter rage as much as they did, he wrote: "Aminin nyo nag-eenjoy kayo sa mga hanash ko! Hahahaha! Actually inenjoy ko din. O siya na vorlog na kayo at rarampa na ko talaga. Yabyu," he said.
