EXCLUSIVE: Myrtle Sarrosa on playing a woman who got an abortion in the short film ‘Ngawa’: ‘it’s a very heavy role’

<p>As the star of<em> Ngawa</em>, one of the three short films that won in Star Magic’s first-ever digital video making contest, Myrtle Sarrosa admitted it was a challenge playing a woman who’s experience she could not relate to. </p><p>“My role here is Sam and parang fresh graduates sila pareho ng character ni Luis and she got pregnant. And after she got pregnant, her boyfriend pushed her to get an abortion. And then there’s a lot of twists and turns na malalaman niya yung history ng person who she loves, na he’s not the person she thinks he is,” she shared during the <em>Lights, Camera, Magic</em> href="https://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/pbbotso/main"><strong><u><em>Pinoy Big Brother</em></u></strong></a> housemate Luis Hontiveros, who plays her boyfriend in the digital short film. </p><p>“<em>Kami ni </em>Luis we worked on this almost two days and <em>natutuwa naman kami</em>. We built our chemistry on set and we had to do prior research on our characters. So <em>magkasama kaming nag-uusap tapos parang</em> <em>diniscuss namin kung paano ba yung</em> interactions <em>ng</em> characters <em>namin</em>.  <em>Yung pinaka na-enjoy ko</em> is the <em>drama</em>, the thrill, <em>kasi yung </em>character <em>ko ang dami palang nangyari sa kanya</em>. So it’s a very heavy role.<em> Ang layo ng</em> experience <em>na ito</em> for me. <em>Hindi siya yung</em> normal <em>na </em>roles <em>na pini-play ko</em>,” she revealed. </p><blockquote Films. </p><p>“<em>Kasama ko dun sila</em> Tony Labrusca, Jane Oineza, Albie Casino, and Jerome Ponce and its titled <em>Ang Henerasyong Sumuko sa Love</em>. <em>Yung</em> character<em> ko kasi hindi siya naniniwala sa</em> love. So <em>parang medyo</em> cold<em> na siya</em>. She has a wall when it comes to love so <em>tingnan niyo kung magkakatuluyan sila nung c</em>haracter <em>ni </em>Albie in the story,” she said. </p><p>The sexy actress-singer also said she is gearing up for a series of performances abroad. “<em>Naku</em> as of recently, <em>marami kaming </em>work and n<em>ag-re-rehearse kasi ako</em> for my Canada tour so it’s mostly mga dance rehearsals. <em>Yun yung</em> exercise<em> ko lang </em>recently,” she added.</p>
