After becoming a 2nd Lieutenant as a commissioned reserve officer, Matteo Guidicelli joined the Philippine Army for a trip to Zamboanga and Cotabato.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 28, Matteo expressed his elation to be visiting the said places for the first time.

"With ARESCOM MGen Langub and MGen Gotico, flying out this morning to Zamboanga then proceeding to Cotabato for 'Kalilintad sa Timpu sa Ramadan.' Can’t wait to spend time with our kababayans! It will be my first time in the area. Flying out now!" he posted.

It can be recalled that Matteo joined the Army Reserve Command last April. According to the actor, he decided to join as his way of contributing to the Philippines.

“Because I’m a Filipino and I love my country. I think this is another avenue na i-share ko yung sarili ko sa bansa ko… Kumbaga makatulong ako sa bansa ko,” Guidicelli said in an interview recently with ABS-CBN News.
