EXCUSIVE: Angelina Cruz approves of mom Sunshine Cruz’s boyfriend Macky Mathay: ‘It’s really obvious that he makes her happy’

After launching her self-titled EP last year, Sunshine Cruz’s eldest daughter Angelina is slowly building up a name for herself which includes being named as one of Instax Mini’s newest endorsers. “It’s really amazing. I never expected to be chosen as one of the endorsers because I actually really love Fuji cameras and I do have one of the film cameras and the Instax Mini and I remember taking so many photos. The walls of my whole room are just covered with photos from it. So I was happy and excited to be chosen as one of the ambassadors,” she shared during their pictorial earlier this month. As the eldest of three sisters, Angelina said she has to take the lead when her mom Sunshine isn’t home. “I feel like since I’m the panganay, I think I’m the bossy one. I’m the panganay so I have to be. I think it’s mandatory or if not that then I’m usually the chill one because my younger sister Sam, she’s the makulit one and then Cheska naman she’s either quiet or super loud. There’s no in between. Basta they’re both really makulit because their age gap is less than a year. Mine is like three to four years so I have to be the one in charge of them and I’m responsible for them as an ate. So I’m usually maybe the bossy chill type, if that even exists?” she shared.When it comes to her mom’s love life, Angelina said she and her siblings have already grown fond of their mom’s boyfriend Macky Mathay. “I’m really supportive of them and I can see, it’s really obvious that he makes her happy. And if he makes her happy that makes me happy as well. So if I know that he inspires my mom to be her very best, then there’s nothing wrong with that. And we actually became really close na. I think they’ve been together for two to three years so we became really, really close to him and his kids as well. They’re really nice people. When he’s around, she’s always happy. It’s the perfect time to ask if I can go out (laughs),” she added.
