Darren Espanto gets a surprise message from Disney composer Alan Menken

<p>Darren Espanto took to Instagram to express his joy and awe after Alan Menken, composer and producer of the song “<em>A Whole New World</em>”, gave a special message for him.</p><p>“Hi Darren! It’s such a shame that we weren’t able to meet. I heard your rendition of ‘<em>A Whole New World</em>’ with Morissette [Amon] and you guys did such an amazing job! I was hoping we could get to meet in the near future. All the best!” the award-winning composer said.</p><p>Darren and Morissette worked together on a localized version of the animation-turned-live action film’s most successful song, ‘<em>A Whole New World</em>’.</p><p>The 18-year-old singer couldn’t help but rave about the message on social media.</p><p>“My jaw dropped. Here’s a message I got from Sir Alan Menken; the original composer and producer of ‘<em>A Whole New World</em>’! Thank you so much for the kind words, Sir!
