Annyeonghaseyo, SB19! Meet the first-ever all-Filipino group trained in South Korea

<p>Last Friday, August 16, the first-ever all-Filipino group trained in South Korea, SB19, faced the entertainment press for the first time since their launch back in October 2018. </p><p>Managed by Korean entertainment company ShowBT Philippines, the five-member group composed of members Sejun, Stell, Josh, Ken, and Justin, underwent rigorous training in South Korea before officially getting That said, the boys hope to show to the world their talent without compromising their Filipino roots.</p><p>“Ang mga Pilipino sobrang talented po niyan sa lahat ng larangan. Magaling kumanta, magaling sumayaw, umakting. ‘Yun po ‘yung maipapakita namin sa ibang bansa. And at the same time, ‘yung ginagawa po namin ngayon, ito po ‘yung first time na makikita namin at papausuhin namin sing and dance. Dancing heartily and singing heartily at the same time. Kumbaga, maipapakita namin ‘yung talento ng Pilipino na all-around talaga tayo,” leader Sejun said. </p><p>He then went on: “At kung mauso man ito sa Pilipinas, ‘pag pumutok ‘yung ganitong genre sa Pilipinas, maipapakita rin natin sa ibang bansa hopefully na ganito ang Pilipino. Magagaling. Mahilig kumanta, mahilig sumayaw. Lahat. Kaya mag-rap. Everything.” </p><p>The boys, whose music was produced in South Korea, are proud that they were the ones who composed the lyrics of their songs. </p><p>Even though the members of SB19 are proud of everything that they have released so far, the five-member idol group hopes to one day produce their own songs. </p><p>Explaining why a South Korean produced most of their releases so far, one of the members, Justin, said: <em>“Siguro, ngayon po kasi we are trained by Koreans din po. Pero in the future po, gusto po talaga namin one hundred percent po fully kami na po ‘yung magpo-produce ng mga sarili naming kanta. From instrumentals to everything po. From lyrics to whatever. Pero ‘yung lyrics sa’min po talaga. ‘Yung instrumental lang po ‘yung kinuha namin ngayon. Kasi po since nasa Korea po kami, mas madali po talaga kumuha ng connections from our Korean friends po.”</em></p><p>He added: <em>“So kaya po ngayon po dun lang po kami kumukuha. ‘Yung lang po ‘yung chance namin kasi wala pa po kami connections sa Philippines masyado na mga producers.
