Kim Chiu on her biggest fan at the All Star Games 2019: ‘Sa kanya ako humuhugot ng serve!’

After her team won the volleyball match over Julia Barretto’s team last Sunday, August 25, at the Araneta Coliseum, Kim Chiu said she is happy to be given the chance to enjoy her favorite sport again. “Masarap pala sa pakiramdam. Ganito pala maging UAAP player pag nag-se-serve ka maraming sumisigaw (laughs). Masaya ako. Sobrang thankful. Sobrang kinabahan kami pero sobrang thankful kami siyempre sa lahat ng sumuporta. Nagpapasalamat din kami sa coach namin and sa dalawang guest players namin na malaking tulong sa amin. Sarap pala sa pakiramdam na maglaro ng volleyball. Maraming salamat sa ABS-CBN at Star Magic dahil binigyan kami ng ganitong opportunity,” she said.The red team captain said that one of her team’s strengths was their close bond on and off the court. Among her teammates were fellow Star Magic artists Nikki Valdez, Vivoree Esclito, and Chienna Filomeno. “Kami kasi sa team namin, ano kami sobra yung pagka-intact namin. Malaki pa lang bagay pag kilala mo yung bawat teammates mo, may bonding kayo. So it’s the camaraderie inside the court with your teammates,” she shared.Aside from having hundeds of fans cheering her on inside the venue, Kim said the presence of Xian Lim was a big boost to her performance at the court. Fans went wild when Kim went to embrace Xian after the game. “Akala ko hindi siya pupunta. Mas confident ako (na nandiyan siya) kasi nakapasok yung serve ko kesa sa pag wala siya. Sa kanya ako humuhugot ng serve. Pag hindi ako nakatingin (kay Xian) hindi papasok,” she said.
