Angel Locsin explains why she’s absent at the ABS-CBN Ball 2019

More than a hundred Kapamilya stars walked the red carpet of this year's ABS-CBN Ball. However, noticeably absent at the network's annual event was prime artist Angel Locsin.

On Instagram, the actress immediately shared the reason why she did not attend this year's ball.

"I salute my friends at the ABS-CBN Ball who are doing their share to promote awareness on children’s rights and to help the beneficiaries of Bantay Bata 163 get the education that everyone deserves," she began her post.

Angel then explained, "As for me, I decided to do my share in a way that I could probably be more of use. I think it would be better for me to donate directly to Bantay Bata the amount that I’m supposed to spend in the ball. It’s not much, but will help make a difference to someone else’s life."

The primetime star has been very vocal on topics about volunteering and her advocacies, which include helping the victims of war in Marawi and donating blood to the Red Cross.
