In keeping with this year's "Modern Filipiniana" theme, where stars are challenged to put their own modern spin on the Filipiniana dress and Barong Tagalog as a way to put the spotlight on the Philippine culture, the 'The Hows of Us' actor hit the red carpet in a classic barong layered with a patterned blue suit made with inabel, "a handwoven textile created by artisans of the northern provinces of the Philippines using age-old traditional weaving techniques," according to online retail shop Balay ti Abel.

On Facebook on Sunday, The Inabel Project, a culture gift store based in La Trinidad, Benguet, explained that it takes approximately two to three days for one weaver to weave a yard with wide width for this kind of suit.
