Actor Daniel Padilla was among the male celebrities who turned heads at the recently concluded ABS-CBN Ball, having sported a suit made with an indigenous textile from the Cordillera.

In keeping with this year's "Modern Filipiniana" theme, where stars are challenged to put their own modern spin on the Filipiniana dress and Barong Tagalog as a way to put the spotlight on the Philippine culture, the 'The Hows of Us' actor hit the red carpet in a classic barong layered with a patterned blue suit made with inabel, "a handwoven textile created by artisans of the northern provinces of the Philippines using age-old traditional weaving techniques," according to online retail shop Balay ti Abel.

On Facebook on Sunday, The Inabel Project, a culture gift store based in La Trinidad, Benguet, explained that it takes approximately two to three days for one weaver to weave a yard with wide width for this kind of suit.
