In what is his most daring role yet, Enchong Dee admitted he did not hesitate to accept the role in Alter Me even if it required him to do multiple naked scenes with different women. The actor-athlete said he did ask for some time to get into even better shape onscreen before shooting began late last year.

Naalala ko sinabi ko kay direk RC (Delos Reyes), it was October or November of 2019 up to January of 2020 yung shooting namin so humiling lang ako kay direk, sabi ko, ‘Direk give me another two weeks just to prepare physically.’ Nahabol naman,” he recalled during the Netflix Philippines Alter Me presscon last November 10.

In the digital film, Enchong plays the role of Uno, a hardworking guy who rents out sexual services in the alter community where everyone uses an alias in order to live out their fantasies in the bedroom. Enchong admitted the sex scenes were the most challenging for him to shoot because it required him to totally strip down.

Pinakamahirap siguro when you have to bare it all in front of the people where you’re not usually being seen as someone totally naked. I have to accept at a certain point in the shooting na I told myself, ‘You know what, this will not work if I will have inhibitions. Drop it and let the director take the wheel kapag dating dun sa editing because you know he will take care of you’ and yun din naman yung nakita ko. Nung pinanuod ko yung film sabi ko I’m so happy because sobrang alaga yung binigay din sa akin. Na sumugal din ako to drop it and let them be and yun nga yung nakita ko,” he shared.

When asked if he had any personal real-life fantasies, Enchong said he also dreams of joining the mile high club someday. But he said that his current alter account right now is strictly just a way to promote work.

Meron po ako ngayon. I use it for number one yung sa character ng show namin ni Erich (Gonzales), but at the same time I curated it in such a way that it’s more of like food, business, and the personality of the character. But at the same time I use it to check out other accounts and to lurk. Pino-promote ko na ako yung may-ari,” he revealed.

Alter Me is directed by RC Delos Reyes and written by Danno Kristoper C. Mariquit under Viva Films and Ten17P. Alter Me will premiere on November 15 on Netflix and will be available across Asia. For more details, visit www.netflix.com/alterme.
