“Her whole arc, her whole journey I think, there’s definitely a similarity with me there. I’ve been through Amy’s journey. The conversation that she shared with Uno (Enchong Dee’s character) about being different before and wanting to be that type of Amy again and wanting to bring it back and making her better, I know that feeling and I feel like I’m there, I’m that Amy now. I’m at that point where na-surpass ko na yung Jasmine na hindi ko ginusto. I’m working on the better Jasmine that I liked before and I’m loving even better now,” she shared during the Netflix Alter Me presscon held last November 10.

After being paired onscreen with Enchong Dee for the first time, Jasmine said they both worked hard at building their chemistry off camera to make it look more genuine onscreen.

“Oddly enough, Enchong and I were strangers before this whole film. Nag-meet lang kami in person nung pareho nang na-pitch sa amin yung film. So when we saw each other, it was kind of like a ‘Hey! I think I’m working with you soon?’ And then from there we were able to share a conversation and build somewhat of a new friendship. Filming kasi November of last year until January to kind of February of this year, that four months of so, you establish a friendship na totoo. It’s not a work industry friendship, it’s beyond the work already. So that helped a lot in terms of giving chemistry to the two characters because they have a history or background of being friends prior to the current day scenario of their characters,” she shared.

The Alter Me actress also had nothing but praises for her co-star whom she shares some passionate scenes with in the film. “Madali lang din kasi pakisamahan si Enchong and he’s got really good energy that is in line with his character. So in essence yung character ko just had to react to that and bounce from that and I think important yung for actors eh, when you can react. Thankful ako na ganun kami ni Chong. We’re actors that are reactors,” she explained.
