Giselle Sanchez shared how she and husband Emil Buencamino keep their relationship strong.

The couple recently celebrated their 20th anniversary recently by renewing their wedding vows.

"Kailangan talaga may kilig factor everyday. Nung kinasal kami, parang kinilig ulit ako, kasi siyempre iba 'yung tingin niya. 'Ang ganda ko,'" she said in an interview in Magandang Buhay on Wednesday, November 18.

She added, "Rule number one, once a week kailangan may lambingan kayong mag-asawa. Once a week, kailangan may ganun. Tapos say something nice, say something beautiful to your husband or to your wife. 'Yan ang importante talaga."

When asked how can couples bring back the spark again in the relationship, Giselle advised, "Iwasan ang drama. Tayo kasing mga babae ang hilig natin sa drama, hindi ba? Tayong mga asawa kasi we tend to be dramatic. Sabi ng asawa ko, ang drama raw iwan ko na lang sa showbiz. Pag-uwi ko sa bahay, wala ng drama. Ayaw na ayaw ng mga lalaki ang drama."

She also advised wives to quit complaining. "We tend to be busy kasi tayo nag-aalaga ng bahay, tayo nag-aalaga ng mga anak natin, tayo nag-aalaga ng asawa natin. Nakakalimutan natin ang lambing, kahit magagandang words. Palagi na lang, 'hindi mo ako tinutulungan dito, ganito-ganyan.' Palaging complain, complain. Complaining and gloating ay tanggalin natin sa sistema natin. Huwag tayong reklamo nang reklamo kasi ang sakit talaga niyan sa tenga," she said.

The comedienne also remarked that self-care is vital too.

"Number 3, take care of yourself. Importanteng alagaan mo ang sarili mo," she stated.

Giselle and Emil renewed their wedding vows after two decades in a convent and to mark the occasion, they also made a donation there.

"Dear Emil, thank you for agreeing on a quiet intimate ceremony inside the convent where I serve. Instead of spending lavishly on an anniversary, we opted to donate and help the projects of the #daughtersofsaintanne convent," Giselle posted on her Instagram page last November 1.

"In the middle of the pandemic and after a storm, kindness is needed for this world to thrive," she added.
