Michael Pacquiao, the son of Manny Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee, celebrated his 19th birthday last Saturday, December 12.

On Instagram, Jinkee shared photos of Michael's simple birthday celebration in their Makati home, as she greeted her son on his special day.

"Happy Birthday @pacquiao.michael. You are loved!" she said.

In a separate post, Jinkee posted photos of Michael, with a caption expressing her love for his son.

"Happy happy birthday @pacquiao.michael. You have given me so many reasons to be proud of the man you have become, but the proudest moment for me is telling others that you are my God fearing, loving, caring and thoughtful son. We love you very much!" she said.

She also shared a photo of Michael being carried by his dad Manny.

In the caption, she wrote: "I love this pic! Happiest birthday @pacquiao.michael!"

The same photo was shared by the boxing champ on his Instagram page.

"Making my son a priority today. At the end of the day, family is everything. Always a proud dad here. Happy birthday," said Manny.

Michael, the second among the Pacquiao siblings, is a music newcomer.

Last August, the young rapper made headlines after his performance of his song "Hate" in the Wish 107.5 bus went viral.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Dyan Castillejo, the 18-year-old Pacquiao said he didn't expect for his performance to be a hit.

“I didn’t expect it. I was just really happy to be in the Wish bus and performing there. I didn’t expect that this is ging to be a hit. I just chose the song ‘Hate’ because at least I’ll let that out. I’ll let everyone know that nothing can stop me,” he said.

He was later nominated as Breakthrough Artist of the Year by the popular radio station, alongside the indie pop band the vowels they orbit and IV of Spades' Zild Benitez.

According to Michael, his song “Hate” is about proving his haters wrong.

“When I wrote the song, all I thought about was the people that doubted me, people who didn’t believe in me. I was like I’ll make a song out of this because I have nothing else to write,” he said.

Addressing his bashers, particularly those who say his success is mainly because of his last name, Michael has this to say: “People would say, it has to do with my last name. But, you know, I understand naman."

"But at the same time, it’s like, I work hard to achieve what I am," he added.
