In his latest Star Cinema film this year, Dominic Ochoa said he had a good experience playing the role of Caloy Salazar, father to four girls and one boy in the prequel to Four Sisters and a Wedding, Four Sisters Before the Wedding.

Buti nagkaroon ng prequel and I think the story will revolve kasi meron tayong issue dito na kailangan iresolba ng mga magkakapatid. so panuorin natin yung pelikula,” he said.

Dominic said he was satisfied with his lockdown taping experience because of the stringent safety measures that were implemented.

“First of all, taas kamay ko lang sa ABS-CBN. Siyempre inabutan na tayo ng shutdown, medyo hindi maganda ang kalagitnaan ng 2020 para sa ating istasyon at sa ating network. But I have to give it up to ABS-CBN at sa Star Cinema for coming up with content, with shows, and movies na nagbibigay inspirasyon which I think is the most important thing despite yung hirap ng buhay ngayon, may naiiisip pa rin tayo to inspire people and nabibigyan tuloy ng trabaho kahit wala tayo sa telebisyon, nakakahanap pa rin ng paraan para makapagbigay entertainment o aliw, inspiration sa mga manunuod na tumayo, na maging masaya, at huwag isipin lahat ng mga problema natin,” he said.

Even when it comes to pre-production, Dominic revealed everything went smoothly for them on the set.

“Honestly, I like this new system because since platsado na lahat, kailangan may script ka na, kailangan mong ready na. Ngayon natin na-realize na sa pandemya na kailangan natin. Parang it’s a reset button. So na-realize natin na hindi naman pala natin kailangan ng napakaraming tao, puwede naman pala natin gawin lahat ng hindi masyadong maraming tao sa paligid. So I like the new system. Ang pinakamahirap lang actually sa totoo lang, sa tagal niyong magkakasama at araw araw niyong magkakasama, ang hirap magba-bye sa kanila. Kasi siyempre napalapit ka sa kanila. Yun lang,” he admitted.

Playing the father role to the Salazar sisters, played by Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano, Dominic said he was proud of his young co-star’s work in the film.

“Isa lang ang masasabi actually, and every time we do a scene I tell them that I’m so proud of them dahil before we started shooting the movie, pinanuod ko yung dating pelikula nung first day of shooting and then before the last day pinanuod ko pa rin siya. And I must say that they were able to do their job and their characters pretty well and up to now, I’m still proud of them. Masaya silang pamilya in short. Itong Salazar family, yung original film kasi walang tatay. Ito makikita mo yung essence ng isang buong pamilya so sama sama. Even with the characters if Cai (Cortez), pamilya sila sa amin eh. Wala ditong anak ni manang, hiwalay kayo. Hindi, parte sila ng pamilya namin. And dun niyo mapapanuod sa Four Sisters Before the Wedding yun essence ng family-oriented film. Hindi lahat ng storya eh perpekto. Hindi lahat ng pamilya pala perfect pero magagawan lahat ng paraan. Mahuhusay yung mga anak ko dito. I’m proud of everyone,” he said.

Four Sisters Before The Wedding streams worldwide beginning December 11 via KTX.ph (ktx.ph), iWantTFC (iwanttfc.com), TFC IPTV, Cignal PPV (my.cignal.tv), and Sky Cable pay-per-view (mysky.com.ph). This is distributed by CineXpress.
