<p>It’s been almost two decades since Rico Yan passed away, but he still holds a special place in Claudine Barretto’s heart up to this day.</p><p>Claudine paid tribute to her ex-boyfriend on Instagram. </p><p>“Happy Birthday in Heaven RY. Dominic Ochoa, Rico died due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis on March 29, 2002 — days after the matinee idol turned 27 years old. </p><p>Barretto and Yan worked together on a number of projects including hit TV dramas such as <em>Mula Sa Puso</em> and <em>Saan Ka Man Naroroon</em> and romance films like <em>Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita</em> and <em>Got 2 Believe</em>.</p>
