Last January, Ellen Adarna kept everyone guessing regarding the status of her love life after posting photos from her trip to Spain earlier this year. The photos showed her dining out with a group of friends as well as a photo with a man with his arm around her named Carlos Lemus which sparked rumors that the 32-year-old actress was back on the dating scene.

Last April 3, during an telephone interview on the Good Times With Mo podcast with Mo Twister, Ellen confirmed that she is currently in a long-distance relationship with a foreigner but did not name him. “Yes I am dating someone right now. He’s from Spain. Afam (laughs). It’s a long-distance relationship. It actually works well for me because I have to spend time with my son. It works well for me. I’m not hassled at all,” she shared with Mo.

The Cebu-based actress recently completed her 14-day quarantine after arriving from Indonesia last month. Even though she was not allowed to be near her son and family when she returned to the country, Ellen said she did not have a hard time completing the self-isolation period. “The best part of it was the people I was with. I was with my best friend, I was with my yaya and it was a stay quarantine by the beach. And we were just really laughing. it didn’t feel like quarantine at all. And we were working out, we were keeping ourselves busy, we cooked our meals, we fixed our bed, we cleaned the house, we were very domesticated. We were always moving. So that helped. We weren’t bored at all,” she recalled.

After admitting to going through depression the past few years, Ellen also said she is in a better place now emotionally starting this year especially after completing mental training in Bali. “I think I am equipped. I know it’s wrong to say this but like this time, my life has been so peaceful. So I’m actually enjoying the lockdown. It’s actually applying the zen philosophy in my life right now. It’s eating right, it’s the feeding the mind right, and you get a lot of time with yourself,” she explained
