“Hindi ako natakot.”

This was the initial reaction of Sofia Andres after she learned that she’s expecting a child with her boyfriend, Daniel Miranda.

In an interview with MJ Felipe for ABS-CBN News, the actress recalled feeling, in fact, “very happy” when she found out that she was pregnant during a shoot on Valentine’s Day last year.

After nun, nag-positive agad. Honestly, sobrang saya ko nga eh, hindi ako natakot, wala 'yung ganung feeling," she said.

"I think it was really meant na binigay siya sa akin ni Lord. Ang galing no?

Sofia, who first revealed that she is now a mother on Father’s Day, said that her boyfriend, a race-car driver, was studying in Australia when they found out about the pregnancy.

She later flew to Australia and settled in with Daniel.

“Rollercoaster,” Sofia said of their life abroad.

“Wala akong mommy. Magastos kasi ako, nandiyan si Daniel to teach me how to do those things, how to be independent.

Sofia, 21, and Daniel, 23, welcomed their daughter, whom they named Zoe, on November 24, 2019.

Recalling the day she gave birth to her baby girl, Sofia said: “Nung manganganak na ko, nandun 'yung mommy ni Daniel and mommy ko.

"Masaya ngayong mommy na!" she added.

"Iba 'yung feeling talaga, 'di ko ma-explain. Sobrang saya, parang rollercoaster.

Together with their child, Sofia and Daniel eventually flew back to Manila, where they held baby Zoe’s baptism last February 7.

Of Daniel, Sofia said she appreciates how her boyfriend is keeping up with his new role as a first-time father.

According to Sofia, she and Daniel aren’t planning to tie the knot in the near future, as their priority at the moment is to take care of their baby Zoe.
