Richard Juan took a trip down memory lane and posted his graduation photo, while sharing his learnings from his time at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Looking back, Richard shared the elation and enthusiasm he felt upon graduating from the university.

"Every time I look at this photo, not only do I see a baby boy (haha!), but also someone full of curiosity, full of excitement, and full of HOPE. Because that’s what you feel when you graduate from university — especially if you’re from UP — you are eager to get out there and offer yourself to society, with the dream of changing the country, if not the world," he wrote.

Because that’s what you feel when you graduate from university — especially if you’re from UP — you are eager to get out there and offer yourself to society, with the dream of changing the country, if not the world. At UP, I was taught the value of education, the beauty of giving back, the importance of integrity, and also the power of working together. I still hold on to these lessons every day and I hope everyone applies these values too, especially at such an uncertain time we are facing. Things might be dark now, but we just got to navigate through it to find the light because in every chaos, new opportunities reveal themselves along the way. I wish you don’t lose that curiosity, that excitement, and most importantly, that HOPE.

Today is Day 100 of community quarantine…DAY ONE HUNDRED!! Despite the world being on pause, I’m proud to say that I’ve been fairly productive in the last 100 days! I was able to donate to nine hospitals, start a business (secret muna for now hehe), start a short course, watch a couple of Korean dramas, get featured on a Korean website (😅), make patol some g*go (lol), redesign my room, catch up with friends, family and supporters through zoom calls…and many many more! Not everyday was productive; there were days where I’d feel tired, lazy, and unmotivated, and it’s okay. Just don’t let that become a habit. I know we are still hella far from beating Covid-19 but we can’t just sit there, sulk and wait for things to be okay. Who knows what will happen in the next 100 days, all I know is that I will continue to work on things that I have control over, and I will continue to chase those goals and dreams of mine in whatever way I can. No matter what, I hope you all continue to stay home, stay safe, and take care of yourselves and your love ones.....and keeping chasing those dreams!!! Thank you for attending my Ted Talk. If you stayed till the end, let me know 😂

Richard then encouraged his followers to remain hopeful amid the challenging times and carry on with these essential values in mind.

"Things might be dark now, but we just got to navigate through it to find the light because in every chaos, new opportunities reveal themselves along the way. I wish you don’t lose that curiosity, that excitement, and most importantly, that HOPE," he wrote.

Richard graduated cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Communication at UP Diliman.
