Kiray Celis couldn’t help but feel proud for the boys of SB19 whom she revealed used to serve as backup dancers at a show where she made a guest appearance in the past.

The former Goin’ Bulilit star, in a tweet, praised the five-piece group — composed of Sejun, Josh, Justin, Stell, and Ken — for how far they have come in terms of local and international success.

But what particularly fascinates Kiray is the kind of talent SB19 has when it comes to pulling off a great sing and dance number live.

She wrote: “Kakaproud yung SB19. Backup dancers lang sila noon sa pinag guestingan ko na show. Tignan mo naman sila ngayon. Huhusay! Gagaling kumanta. Gagaling sumayaw! LIVE PA!”

SB19 — which first broke into mainstream success back in 2019 — has gone through years of rigorous training under a management company owned by a South Korean.

Since then, SB19 has gained international acclaim with a Billboard feature saying the group is the next big thing to watch out for, thanks to having been “able to garner consistent and growing social attention.”

Last July 31, the group released their debut album called “Get In The Zone!” under Sony Music Philippines.

Just recently, SB19 also made it to Top 3 of Billboard’s Social 50 charts — just two spots behind K-Pop powerhouse groups BTS and EXO.
