Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, the lead stars of the 2010 drama series Mara Clara, have reunited, much to the delight of their avid fans.

A photo of their virtual reunion via Zoom was posted by their co-star Dimples Romana on Instagram on Tuesday morning, September 15.

In the caption, the seasoned actress wrote: "What dates with my constants look like these days... Kayo? Sino ka-date ninyo online these days?"

Also part of the reunion was Danica Mae Domingo, one of the writers of Mara Clara.

Aside from Mara Clara, Kathryn and Julia, who first met via the kiddie gag show Goin' Bulilit, worked together in the 2011 family drama movie Way Back Home.

In an episode of Actor's Cue for the #ExtendTheLove initiative in June, Kathryn said she was grateful to have Julia as her co-star in Way Back Home, her first ever full-length film.

"Ang suwerte ko nun kasi kasama ko si Julia. Malapit ko siyang kaibigan," she said.

"Alam mo 'yung feeling na wala ka pang love team nun, wala pang DJ (Padilla), pero meron kang kasama na mag-adjust sa ganung mundo. Suwerte ako nun na kasama ko si Julia," she added.

Kathryn will soon be doing a new television project with Daniel, her reel-life, real-life boyfriend.

Meanwhile, prior to the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was already announced that Julia will star in a new series, Burado, with Nadine Lustre. However, the project was officially cancelled in August due to prevailing COVID-19 restrictions.
