They worked together in the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry <em>Culion</em> and were rumored to have rekindled their romance after a photo of Joem spending New Year with Meryll’s family was posted on social media. </p><p>Meryll also has another son Elijah Palanca, with former husband Bernard Palanca.</p>
