Ara Mina will be tying the knot with her fiancé Dave Almarinez this year.

Appearing on Magandang Buhay via Zoom on Tuesday, January 19, the actress shared details of her upcoming wedding to her businessman-boyfriend.

"This year," said Ara, who is currently in a lock-in taping in Batangas for the ABS-CBN series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.

"Pagkalabas ko rito sa lock-in taping, hinihintay lang nila ako, magmi-meeting kami agad tapos mag-o-ocular na kami ng venues," she added.

Ara went on: "You know what I like about him, pina-prioritize niya ako. Sabi niya sa coordinator, 'I want to give her her dream wedding.'

"Well, hindi naman tayo sobrang makakapagbongga dahil sa pandemic. Hindi natin alam kung hanggang kailan ito pero susunod naman tayo sa protocols. Pero I want na nandoon lahat ng friends ko, lahat ng nagmamahal sa akin at naka-witness ng journey ko."

It was on January 13 when Ara confirmed her engagement to Dave, president and CEO of Philippine International Trading Corporation or PITC, via a social media post.

The surprise proposal took place in Laguna on January 12 and was attended by the couple's family and close friends.

"Today I have received the most perfect gift from God. A prayer I have always been sincerely trusting Him to bring into my life. Dave, thank you for being my answered prayer," said Ara in her post.

"Thank you for not giving up on me. You are the reason why we have stronger days together. God led us to each other for a greater purpose. Let us both live it with faith and love. Yes, I will marry you!” added the actress, who said she was "totally clueless" of the surprise.

"Your surprise made me feel more loved and cherished than I did yesterday. You are all awesome!" she said.
