‘I’m so sorry. I won’t be there’: Sheryn Regis turns emotional about daughter’s 18th birthday in the US

<p>Sheryn Regis apologized to her daughter Lourdes &quot;Sweetie&quot; Echiverri as she will not be able to attend her 18th birthday in Houston, Texas this coming February.</p><p>In an interview in <em><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay"><strong><u>Magandang Buhay</u></strong></a></em>, Sheryn explained that she will not be able to travel to the US at the moment. </p><p>&quot;Ngayon na nandito ako sa Pilipinas, it&#x27;s really hard na malayo sa anak. Eighteen na siya this coming February 11 at wala ako. It&#x27;s too risky for me kasi feeling ko hindi ako ganyan ka-strong sa katawan. &#x27;Yung stopover namin kailangan dalawa talaga before makarating ng Houston, Texas kaya ganoon. So ang hirap,&quot; Sheryn said. </p><p>The singer underwent an operation in 2016 because of thyroid cancer.
