As one of the stars of the new family drama series Viral Scandal, Charlie Dizon said she was immediately drawn to the story of the show when it was first presented to her.

“Nung nabasa ko yung script, alam ko kagad na madaming makaka-relate dito sa storya namin. Kasi hindi lang iisa yung focus namin. Kumbaga madaming social issues, yung family issues, yung core values ng family ma-ta-touch and madami pa. Love life nandito din. Madaming aspect ng buhay kaya sure ako na madaming makaka-relate sa aming palabas. Ang role ko dito aspiring architect na panganay sa magkakapatid sa pamilya Sicat. Bilang panganay at OFW yung nanay ko, ako yung tumayong nanay sa aming pamilya and very liberal minded siya, very outspoken. Epitome of a modern woman si Rica. Ang masasabi ko lang, kahit anong pagsubok ang ibigay niyo sa kanya, lumalaban siya,” she said.

“Naging mahirap talaga aaminin ko. As in everyday nahihirapan pa din ako talaga kasi yung mga pinagdaanan ni Rica hindi katulad sa pinagdaanan ko as Charlie. So minsan nahihirapan ako humugot. Pero bago ako mag-start dito sa show, pinaghandaan ko talaga. Hinimay ko yung character. Bumalik ako sa acting coach ko sa Fan Girl para magpatulong ulit sa paghimay. Para makabalik ako sa mode ko kung halimbawa man na naliligaw ako, parang ganun. Yun yung mga winorkshop ko sa kanya. And iba din kasi yung character ni Rica kasi sobrang complex. Ang dami niyang issues. Ang dami kasing issues na ma-ta-tackle kasi kaya mas complex yung pinagdadaanan niya. Pero kada project na-cha-challenge pa rin naman ako kasi bagong character ulit so back to zero yung aral. So talagang hinihimay ko pa yung script,” she explained.
