WATCH: Maris Racal releases live performance video of ‘Asa Naman’

<p>Actress-singer Maris Racal treated her fans to a live performance of her new single &quot;Asa Naman.&quot;</p><p>Donning a butterfly-inspired dress and matching purple gloves, Maris sang and danced to the pop-rock track, as seen in a video uploaded on her YouTube channel on Thursday, October 7.</p><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="816" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NPrP1tbTh4I" title="YouTube video player" width="2034"></iframe></div><p>The more than three-minute video was produced by Maris&#x27;s record label Balcony Entertainment. </p><p>It was just last month when &quot;Asa Naman&quot; became available on music streaming platforms. A music video for it was simultaneously released on Maris&#x27;s YouTube channel. </p><p>The track, which features a Bisaya chorus, is a collaboration between Maris and her boyfriend Rico Blanco, who co-wrote, arranged, and produced the song.</p><p>&quot;It all started when Rico suggested I write an entire song in Bisaya,” Maris said. “It was appealing to me of course, but I was also worried that not everyone would understand it, so after a fair share of discussions (and even debates), I decided that the verses would be in Tagalog and that the choruses would be in Bisaya.”</p><p>In an Instagram post, Maris said she&#x27;s happy that she was able to contribute to the Visayan pop movement which she is a fan of.</p><p>&quot;Lumaki akong nakakapakinig ng mga Bisaya songs sa jeep at mga tricycle while strolling in the streets of Tagum, Davao, and Cebu. A release date for the record has yet to be announced.</p>
