Director Darryl Yap on shooting Marco Gallo naked: ‘Parang Hungarian siya’

<p>Director Darryl Yap admitted that before he cast Marco Gallo in his latest <em>film Ang Manananggal Na Nahahati Ang Puso</em>, he wanted to make sure the the Fil-Italian actor and former <em>Pinoy Big Brother</em> housemate was game to do butt exposure for one of the scenes in the film.</p><p>“Umpisa pa lang nung pelikula, before pa talaga kami lumipad papunta Siquijor, sinabi ko na sa Viva na ang magigng Guiseppe magpapakita ng puwet. Sabi ko, ‘Bigyan niyo ako ng artista na sa tingin niyo kaya magpakita ng puwet.’ Ganun yung sabi ko kila boss Vic (Del Rosario of Viva Entertainment) and binigay nila sa akin isa sa choices si Marco Gallo. Sabi ko, ‘Puwede ko ba siya makasama muna sa isang pelikula kahit wala masyadong ganap? Tingnan ko lang kung pasok.’</p><p>“So I cast him sa <em>Gluta.</em> During the rest days of <em>Gluta</em>, sa rest moments namin, nakakuwentuhan ko yan tapos nag-usap usap kami. Bigla ko lang siningit, ‘Kung gagawa ba ako ng pelikula tapos magpapakita ka ng puwet okay lang?’ Tapos tiningnan niya ako habang nag-te-text siya tapos yung sagot niya sa akin sobrang normalan (laughs). direk Darryl admitted he did not expect Marco to walk around fully naked on the set and decline to put on plasters which is what is usually done when shooting scenes that require showing of skin.</p><p>“Nung nandudun na kami, sabi ko, ‘Marco eto na yung magpapakita ka ng puwet. Pumunta ka na dun, magpa-makeup ka na. Para makinis yung puwet mo.’ Sabi niya, ‘Sorry direk makinis yung puwet ko.’ Pinakita niya yung puwet niya, maputi, makinis (laughs). Eh di naloka lahat ng staff kasi bigla siyang nag-ga-ga-ganun dun. Totoo ito ah. Pagkapakita niya ng puwet niya sabi ko, ‘Sige na magpa-plaster ka na.’ Ayaw niya in magpa-plaster kasi daw sasama yung pubic hair sa plaster, masakit, ang dami pa daw hassle. Ayaw niya mag-shave and all. So alam niyo ginawa niya? Naghubad siya tapos nakita ng mga staff, nakita ng Siquijor, nakita ng mga nandudon talaga yung ano niya. Tapos lumublob siya sa drum tapos ayun na. There’s no preparation talaga. Tapos sinasabi ko lang kung anong mangyayari. Sabi ko maligo siya. Pero dahil ako ay hindi masunuring tao inilabas ko pa din siya (laughs). Kaso lang nakita ko busy sila, sabi ko hindi naman nila mapapansin ito, busy sila, mapapansin na lang nila ‘to pag 1M na sabi ko. Hindi ko naman ini-expect in one hour one million views. So nung nilapag ko makikita niyo dun medyo may mga bula bula and all. Itong hayup na Marco na ‘to talagang kinukuskos niya sa puwet niya, sa kaloob looban. Dito napaka-candid niya lang, napakatotoo at saka ako naman kung ganun kakinis yung puwet ko I’m sure hindi din ako mahihiya. Kung ganun kakinis yung puwet ko at kung ganun kalaki yung ano ko hindi ako mahihiyang maglakad ng nakahubad lang. So confirmed (laughs). Yun lang yung experience ko diyan. Hindi lang siya may pa-puwet diyan, may pa-sex organ na rin siya diyan para sa isla.
