ARMY will still get to see all seven members of K-Pop group BTS perform until next year.

Korean media outlet Arirang, in a report, said BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have applied to defer their military enlistment until the age of 30.

Under South Korean law, able-bodied men must enlist in the military between the ages of 18 and 28.

But the law was revised in June this year, allowing only certain individuals with an invaluable contribution to delay their military service.

BTS, which was given the Order of Cultural Merit award in 2018, is the only K-Pop group that can utilize the law.

This allowed 28-year-old member Jin — who is the eldest in the group — to remain active until he turns 30 on his birthday in December next year.

A sub-committee of the South Korean National Assembly met on Thursday, November 25, about making changes to the law but said it would defer its decision after more discussions have taken place.

BTS recently made history at the American Music Awards, becoming the first-ever Asian artist to snag the Artist of the Year award.

The K-Pop group is known to inspire the youth through their music, with many young individuals saying most of their songs have helped them overcome depression.

Some of BTS’s songs with inspiring messages include “On,” “Spring Day,” “Outro: Wings,” “Lost,” “Not Today,” and “Answer: Love Myself.”
