As she makes her series acting debut in the iQiyi original series Hello, Heart, singer Gigi De Lana admitted she never imagined that her career would lead to this opportunity after joining <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/tawagngtanghalan" target="_blank">Tawag ng Tanghalan</a> in 2016.“Na-pressure ako kasi first time kong aarte tapos series pa. Lead role agad. Pero very thankful ako kasi blessing ito at saka opportunity siya to learn new things. Ang tawag namin panibagong genre naman. So I’m excited agad at pressured. Yun lang dalawang yun. Yung mga movies na pinanuod ko almost the same sa series na Hello, Heart. Kasi para ma-imbibe ko na rin yung character ni Heart. So yun lang yung mga preparations ko tapos binasa ko yung script. Si Heart kasi very outgoing siya at saka parang lahat gagawin niya para sa family niya. Parang wala ata kaming pagkakaiba kasi ganun din ako. Si Heart kasi pinaglalaban niya kasi kung ano yung totoo at saka kung ano yung gusto niya. Ako kasi pinaglalaban ko naman pero kasi pag nailaban ko na yung pinakatodo ko, minsan kasi gi-give up ako. Kasi iniiisp ko kasi paano ba ako aarte eh batikan na siya. Kasi napapanuod ko si Gerald sa mga movie. So hindi ko alam kung ma-i-intimidate ba ako? Inisip ko na lang marami akong matututunan sa taong ito,” she recalled. Upon meeting her Hello, Heart co-star for the first time, Gigi had a strategy to immediately break the ice between them.“Na-intimidate ako sa kanya. Pero kasi inisip ko, ‘Bakit ba ako ma-i-intimidate? Ipapakita ko na agad kung sino ako.’ So nung kaharap ko na siya, ‘Ay, ang guwapo mo naman!’ Ganun agad. Sinabi ko talaga sa kanya.
