VIPs all over the world have a reason to celebrate right now as Taeyang of South Korean boy group BIGBANG officially welcomed his first child with actress Min Hyo-rin.

News outlet Hankook Ilbo reported on Monday, December 6, Taeyang’s wife Min Hyo-rin gave birth to their son.

“Taeyang’s wife Min Hyo-Rin recently gave birth to a healthy son,” YG Entertainment said in a statement, as translated by Korean site Soompi.

Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin met on the set of the former’s music video for “1AM.” In February 2018, the couple got married. It was in September earlier this year when the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.

Born Dong Young-bae, Taeyang actively pursued music since he debuted as part of BIGBANG. As a solo artist, he has released three albums namely Solar, Rise, and White Night.

Meanwhile, Min Hyo-rin has appeared in a number of films such as Sunny, The Grand Heist, and Uhm Bok-dong as well as dramas like Dr. Champ, Romance Town, and The Happy Loner.
