Aljon Mendoza and Karina Bautista share their advice for those who want to join showbiz: ‘Huwag mo sayangin yung talent mo’

Returning Bida Star Gandang Naturally Fresh hosts Aljon Mendoza and Karina Bautista shared some advice for those who are aspiring to join showbiz just like them.“Keep striving at saka huwag kayong makuntento sa nagagawa niyo kasi ang pag-learn at pag grow, continuous yan eh. So akala mo nasa best mo na ikaw pero hindi pa pala kaya kailangan mo lagi i-stretch yung limits mo, yung kaya mo. Kaya maniwala ka lagi sa sarili mo. At siyempre huwag ka mawalan ng pag-asa fighting. At huwag mo sayangin yung talent mo. If ever gusto mo mag-audition, if ever gusto mo ma-enhance yung talent mo, go. There will be a new set of people na iba yung galaw, iba sa nakasanayan mo. Ang daming papasok sa utak mo then you’ll be very nervous, anxious, conscious, and ang dami. Ang dami ding magbabago sa ‘yo.“But then, parang ang pinaka kailangan mo talaga pakinggan is yung self mo. it’s important na hindi ka mawala in the process. Kasi pag mawala ka, parang mas lalong wala kang pupuntahan. The bashers are there but the supporters are there. Supporters can turn into bashers, bashers can turn into supporters, so ang daming puwedeng mangyari. The biggest challenge was a lot of misunderstandings along the way and yung pag-ve-vent namin through a lot of platforms, ganyan. Actually, it has been a great experience na after nun parang we realized kung gaano talaga ka-importante ang communication and the respect for one another. And the honest din of course. Naging way siya para ma-enlighten pa kami. Talagang mas tumatak sa amin kung ano ba talaga yung gusto namin, why are we doing this, is this for the career, is this what we want for ourselves? And of course, we draw lines naman between work and personal life,” Karina said.Aljon chose not to give specific details but says he is happy to move forward with Karina after overcoming their challenges together.“Yung biggest na naging problem is yung latest, basta nagka misunderstanding nga kami. Pero para sa akin, yun ang part ng pag-grow namin. May natutunan kami and tatatak talaga sa amin yun. Mas naging strong yung aming samahan after nung mga misunderstandings na yun, yung level ng friendship namin is parang iba eh, parang nagkaroon ng ibang dimension. So na-e-enjoy ko ngayon ibang level siya,” he said.Karina also said that their professional relationship is stronger because of what they have been through together. “Kasi feeling ko hindi naman kayo magkakaaway kung hindi kayo close, kung hindi ganun kaano yung relationship niyo. Kasi kung strangers kayo I don’t think you’ll fight.
