Veteran broadcaster Doris Bigornia will have to undergo open heart surgery after suffering a heart attack over the weekend, her co-host and fellow Kapamilya reporter Alvin Elchico announced on Tuesday night, February 23.

"Siya po’y inatake sa puso noong Linggo, papuntang Lunes," said Alvin on their DZMM Teleradyo program SRO.

ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe also confirmed the news on Twitter.

Aside from SRO, Doris is also a field reporter for the Kapamilya news program TV Patrol.
