South Korean boy group WEi took on OneMusicPH’s Tagalog Challenge where they had to say words in Filipino.

The boys of WEi did a challenge which required them to say random Tagalog phrases.

After finding out the meaning of the phrase “Maganda ka,” Jang Dae-hyeon uttered the words to Yoo Yong-ha. The latter then responded with “kilig.”

Another phrase the group was asked to say was “Bababa Baba?” which, when translated to Tagalog, means “Is it going down?” Kim Yo-han then shared that a “similar” phrase exists in Korea.

He said: “We have a similar sentence in Korea like ‘Gaga gaga? — Is he that guy?”

“I don’t think there will be an end to our growth as WEi, so I just want to continue improving and moving forward one step at a time, towards an endless goal with RUi.” Kang Seok-hwa said.

Kim Dong-han, for his part said: “I want to achieve the first place on the Billboard chart. I want to win first place on all the music programs held in a week.”

The six-piece group also gave a message to their Filipino fans (collectively known as RUi) towards the end of the video.

“First off, we’re meeting through a video, because we we unfortunately can’t visit the Philippines due to COVID-19, but I hope COVID-19 will end quickly so that we can see RUi in person. I hope the day when we can talk and meet at concerts soon,” Kim Yo-han said.

The boys did various interviews with local outlets and publications in the Philippines as part of their promotional efforts for their music video for 'IDENTITY : CHALLENGE' All Or Nothing (Prod. JANG DAE HYEON).’”

Composed of members Daehyeon, Donghan, Yongha, Yohan, Seokhwa, and Junseo, WEi debuted in October 2020 with a track titled “Twilight.”
