<p>&quot;Should I skip the line because my brother is a mayor?&quot;</p><p>LA Mumar, the elder brother of Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, made this statement on Tuesday, April 13, as he explained why he and his wife have not yet been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.</p><p>On Twitter and Instagram Stories, LA shared a quote card of Vico&#x27;s earlier statement that the local government of Pasig isn&#x27;t giving special treatment to anyone in its COVID-19 vaccination program, noting that even their mother, veteran actress Coney Reyes, has yet to receive the jab despite being a senior citizen with comorbidities. </p><p>&quot;Nanay ko nga mismo hindi pa nababakunahan. 67 years old po ang nanay ko, may comordibities din po siya... Walang palakasan, dumaan po sa tamang proseso. Nag-fill up siya ng form. Vico didn&#x27;t skip the line. Why would I?</p><p>&quot;Sabi OK lang &#x27;yan kasi life and death daw? So what? Shouldn&#x27;t we hold on to our values more, when things are difficult?&quot;</p><p>LA, who has three kids with his wife Macy Mendoza, said he wants to set a good example not just to his sons but to other people around him.</p><p>&quot;What will I tell my children? It&#x27;s OK to do something illegal because it&#x27;s convenient? My 3 boys are watching me, people around are watching, and most importantly, God is, too,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m not a mayor like my bro, but we can do our part and choose what is right.
