After playing the role of Sam Milby’s brother Gio in the 2019 drama series Halik, Gab Lagman said he is ready for another pairing in the new series Init Sa Magdamag. Of his former love team partner Jane De Leon, Gab said he is happy for her upcoming projects.

“I’m very happy because she deserves it and she’s very good. Ever since she’s been working on Halik she’s a very hard worker and magaling din umarte,” he shared.

His new role as Kiko Del Mundo is a young father who finds love with Alexa Ilacad.

“I play the role of a loving son who will do anything for his daughter. A hard worker. Magbabago buhay niya pag nakilala niya si Hannah which is Alexa Ilacad. This is my second teleserye and last time na-partner ako kay Jane and this time it’s different because Alexa’s been in the industry for a long time and sobrang galing niyang umarte.

“I love how she always helps me and teaches me to be good in our scenes. Parang bigla na lang kaming nag-click and bigla na lang lumabas chemistry namin. I really appreciate na na-partner sa akin si Alexa and sobrang galing niya umarte and hopefully mag-work yung chemistry namin na makikita niyo sa show,” he said.

Describing his lock in taping experience as like being with family, Gab sadi even his first interaction with his new leading lady was warm and friendly.

“Nagulat ako kasi sabay kami sa service at nauna siyang sinundo. Siya yung unang nag-approach sa akin which I really appreciated kasi nahihiya ako. Nababaitan ako sa kanya. Sobrang bait ni Alex. If you could just see how she helped me and how she is on the set. How she’s so sweet and genuine to everyone even yung pinakanatatawa ako sa kaniya, even yung animals paghahandaan niya ng mga pagkain yung mga tirang dinner namin,” he shared.

In order to bring out the kilig onscreen, Gab said the Init Sa Magdamag directors deserve the credit for building up their storyline.

“I can appreciate yung help nila direk kasi yung story nga namin aso’t pusa and hahabulin ko siya and in the end unconditional love yung mangyayari sa aming dalawa,” he added.
