Tony Labrusca thanks his ‘Bagong Umaga’ family: ‘Hindi talaga ako pinabayaan’

After revealing in the recent <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/bagongumaga">Bagong Umaga</a> finale presscon that he and some of his co-stars on the family drama <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/bagongumaga">Bagong Umaga</a> had contracted COVID-19 while working on the set, Tony Labrusca also shared the upside of his experience. “There was so many lessons learned in this specific project. I just learned so much about what it’s like to survive, I learned so much on set. There was so much. And I just want to point out that I’m really blessed to be working with such amazing human beings like the prod and our bosses. Everyone has just been so amazing. They took really good care of us so it’s been an eye-opener. So many life lessons learned. And it’s been a blessing to work during such an interesting time,” he said.<div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2021/4/28/fresh-scoops/tony-labrusca-reveals-he-and-his-bagong-umaga-co-193099">READ: Tony Labrusca reveals he and his ‘Bagong Umaga’ co-stars had COVID-19: ‘Nakakapraning siya’</a></div>Being part of lock-in taping cycles with senior stars like Rio Locsin, Cris Villanueva, Glydel Mercado, Sunshine Cruz, Keempee de Leon, Bernadette Allyson, and Nikki Valdez was also an advantage according to Tony. “I just learned so much as an actor from all of my senior co-actors to my younger co-actors as well, to my directors, it was such an intimate space working in a bubble shooting. We all got to know each other really well and it’s different kasi pag taping normally parang you go to work, the next day day off mo. Dito, you’re with each other every single day. Even day off mo you’re still with these people becoming your family.“I just learned so much about how it’s so complex being a human. We all have feelings. I really learned a lot about how to respect one another, how everybody’s feelings are valid.“As an actor, in terms of what I learned from my directors, they really taught me by pushing me. Hindi talaga ko pinabayaan. So I really appreciate that. Pag nag-aaway kami ng nanay ko (played by Bernadette Allyson), those were really touching scenes for me. But I think the one that’s at the top of my head is Gab’s (played by former PBB housemate Ali Abinal) death scene,” he added.
