“Nag-start actually lahat nung naging mainstream ng Twitch. Ang Twitch is an online platform na puwede mag-stream yung mga tao na parang ginagawa ng Facebook ngayon. Pero yun ang nagbigay ng opportunities for a lot of people kasi napapanuod yung personalities at the same time nakikita mo kung anong ginagawa niya, kung anong nilalaro niya. Dun nagsimula yun at dun lumaki.

“And with Facebook and YouTube opening live streams for gaming as well, parang din rin nagkaroon ng madaming opportunities yung mga fellow Filipinos natin to stream and play. We’re trying to keep it as safe as possible for all ages.

Number two pandemic tapos mas maraming tao na kailangan. So inuunti unti namin para pag umabot na sa time na mag-e-expand na kami or magagawa na namin yung gusto namin gawin for Lupon, wala kaming masasagasaan or sigurado kami na ready kami,” he shared.

“Ang madalas kasing nangyayari sa gaming industry and not just gaming companies and e-sports teams, may funding coming from investors most probably from abroad. And as much as possible ayaw namin, gusto namin i-maintain na parang lahat ng ginagawa namin nasa Pilipinas muna.

Tapos nakaka-excite siya dahil Filipino pride like pag si Pacquiao sinuportahan natin all out tayo. Like ang DOTA ata ang total prize nasa $40M for this year so ang sarap makakita na may mga teams nanakakapasok from the Philippines. Sometimes it also comes from the casting, kumbaga yung mga shout casters na nagsasabi kung anong nangyayari sa game.”

“Of course to all the young gamers out there, it’s always nice to balance things out. Kumbaga know your priorities at kapag alam mo siguro yung priorities mo, ma-ba-balance out mo yung oras mo for gaming and other real life stuff. Pero don’t be scared if you think that kapag tingin may future ka sa larangan na ito na e-sports or gaming. Don’t be scared because maybe after five or 10 years when they grow up I’m sure it’ll be an even bigger industry than it is now,” he said.

Paulo said he grew up with people having many misconceptions about the gaming industry and he hopes his company LuponWXC can help change that.
