After releasing its first movie project produced during the pandemic last month, TBA Studios is proud of the many milestones that came with their film Dito at Doon which stars Janine Gutierrez and JC Santos and directed by JP Habac.

Aside from the film being the first full blown production to be released during the pandemic, Dito at Doon is also the first movie to be released on five major streaming platforms with public demand extending its run with a simultaneous international release. The film also held its world premiere at the Osaka film festival in Japan prior to its local release.

“We are grateful to everyone who watched Dito at Doon. More than providing entertainment, we wanted the viewers to also find solace in these challenging times by experiencing the story of Dito at Doon,” said director JP Habac.

Last March 13, TBA Studios held a virtual thanksgiving party to celebrate the successful digital release along with the cast members Janine, JC, and their co-stars Victor Anastacio, Yesh Burce, and Lotlot de Leon.

Lead actress Janine shared her experience working with TBA for the first time. “Sana din makagawa pa ulit. Sobra talaga kaming nag-enjoy ni JC. I honestly have always wanted to work with TBA Studios talaga. Palagi akong nanunuod ng pelikula sa Cinema 76 ever since. So to be able to do a TBA film and for it to be this story Dito at Doon with JP and JC and everyone from TBA, lalo na yung naramdaman namin yung suporta ng press, sobra sobrang punong puno yung puso ko ng pagpapasalamat,” she shared.

Dito at Doon lead actor JC Santos also shared his thoughts on his first lock-in movie taping experience. “Sobrang rare nung mga ganitong production house na kapag kasama mo sila nakikita mo at saka nararamdaman mo that you know that they’re really doing the right thing and to think binuo namin itong pelikula na ‘to nasa gitna ng pandemya. Maayos. Kaya ang gaganda lagi ng mga produkto nila so maraming maraming salamat. Kaya gusto ko sana makatrabaho pa sila ulit,” he said.
