Toni Gonzaga pulls off her first online prank: ‘Iba rin ako mag-prank’

<p>It’s been two and a half years since Toni Gonzaga first ventured into vlogging and became one of the most followed Pinoy celebrities on YouTube. Known for her wholesome and family-oriented content, Toni started adding celebrity interviews in her Toni Talks vlogs last year.</p><p>Just like her younger sister Alex, Toni just proved she can also pull off a successful prank. With the help of broadcaster and YouTube personality Raffy Tulfo, Toni pulled a prank on her uncle Jojo (real name Jaime Cruz) who is a semi-regular fixture in Alex Gonzaga’s family vlogs and lives with her parents in Taytay, Rizal. The prank video was posted on the Raffy Tulfo in Action channel last June 5 and quickly became one of the most trending videos in the country. </p><div><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2021/4/21/fresh-scoops/toni-gonzaga-celebrates-3-million-subscribers-192962"><strong><u>READ: Toni Gonzaga celebrates 3 million subscribers</u></strong></a></div><p>In the video, Toni pretended to be named Sally Malasmas, an angry neighbor of the Gonzagas in Taytay who filed a complaint on the show about uncle Jojo’s alleged irresponsible and dangerous actions during the pandemic. She asked help from Alex’s husband Mikee Morada to secretly record their uncle while he was talking to Tulfo on the phone. At least lesson yan. Di na lalo yan lalabas ng bahay (laughs). Grabe hindi ka na nasanay kay Catherine (Alex) lagi ka naman niya pina-prank. O di ba? Iba rin ako mag-prank,” Toni said with a smile. Pag meron akong kaaway, puwede itong pambato,” he said.</p><p>When asked to share how she was able to get into character so fast, Toni explained, “Alam niyo sa PBB (<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs9"><u><em><strong>Pinoy Big Brother</strong></em></u></a>) kasi madalas kami mag-live nung season 1 tapos ang number one problem lagi is mag-o-overtime na kami. Pero tuwing matatapos na yung programa, laging may malaking pangyayari na kailangan kong i-explain pero sasabihin sa akin, ‘Puputulin na tayo in 10 seconds, puputulin na tayo in 15 minutes.’ Kaya nasanay ako na magsalita ng mabilis. Kailangan in 15 seconds masabi ko yung importanteng sasabihin bago ako malagyan ng logo ng PBB sa mukha pag overtime na.”</p>
