Liza Soberano shares what inspired her to voice out her opinion about ABS-CBN’s franchise issue

<p>Liza Soberano shared how she found the courage to speak up when her home network ABS-CBN was denied a franchise last year.</p><p>In an interview with Pia Wurtzbach, Bianca Guidotti, and Carla Lizardo in an episode of Between Us Queens podcast, Liza remarked that her fellow Kapamilya stars like Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, and Pia inspired her to speak her mind.</p><p>“Last year, with everything that was going on, I felt more empowered honestly. A lot of them started speaking up. When I saw that courage coming from them, it inspired me to speak up. But that wasn’t something that I showed in my career or in showbiz because I saw at an early age how vicious people can be when you speak up.&quot;</p><p>Liza continued, &quot;I’ve experienced people my kapamily’s express great grief over the loss of our company (ABS-CBN) and sadly their jobs. Many of the employees are already struggling amidst this pandemic and losing their jobs puts an even bigger burden upon them. Let’s continue to express how this makes all of us feel in hopes that our voices will be heard and the people responsible for this will gain empathy and understanding,&quot; she said on Twitter in July last year.</p>
