Alexa Ilacad describes onscreen partner Gab Lagman as ‘inspiring’

After wrapping up lock-in taping for the drama series Init Sa Magdamag, Alexa Ilacad said she would not have done anything differently after seeing how her latest teleserye turned out.
After wrapping up lock-in taping for the drama series Init Sa Magdamag, Alexa Ilacad said she would not have done anything differently after seeing how her latest teleserye turned out.
“Personally, not to sound mayabang but I’m very pleased with how everything turned out acting-wise. Siguro if may babaguhin ako, more on sa makeup looks or something like that. Kasi dahil 12 hours lang ang working hours namin, usually talagang laging nagmamadali. Mabilisang bihis, mabilisang ayos and as a viewer when I watched, may mga scenes na ay halatang umiyak ako bago ito kinunan, small details lang naman na baka di rin naman napapansin ng iba. but acting-wise, I’m very happy,” she said.

With the show now on its 65th episode, Alexa said there are still more reasons to watch especially when it comes to her onscreen romance with Gab Lagman who plays Kiko on the series.

“Ang dami pang mangyayari and I don’t want to spoil it pero excited ako lalo na sa ending. One thing I can tell you guys is it’s going to be a very happy and kilig ending for Kiko and Hannah. Ang ganda kasi ng kuwento nila eh. It’s not your typical lang na aso’t pusa na nagbabangayan.

“Ang sarap nilang i-portray personally kasi parang yung buhay nila isang malaking adventure. Ang daming nanagyayari. Siyempre dahil story siya, we’ll always bump into each other sa kuwento pero ang ganda lang din at saka yung character development nila, yung mga values na meron na meron sila ang gandang panuorin and they care for each other. I think it’s really cute na kahit nagbabangayan sila meron pa ring certain nuance na alam mong nandun yung care eh,” she explained.

“Medyo first time ko rin gumanap ng isang babaeng iba yung klase ng tapang. At iba rin yung galit na meron kasi siya. Iba yung bubog niya. Ang dami niyang pinagdaanan, ang dami niyang hurt. So as the story progressed, ang natutunan ko sa pagaganap kay Hannah is it really shows that you love someone when you are able to forgive. So parang yun yung pinaka-ending ng buhay ni Hannah na naging masaya na lang siya and iba yung love ng family pa rin talaga,” she said.

“Na-discover ko and I also think na Gab brought it out of me din na na-discover how patient I can be and na masaya talaga magkaroon ng partner na katulad ni Gab na mapagbigay every time that we have scenes together. Ang saya din makakita ng bagong actor who’s so very willing to learn and nakaka-inspire kasi na ganun yung katrabaho mo eh. Mas gusto mo rin paghusayan para makatulong ka rin sa kanya.
“Na-discover ko and I also think na Gab brought it out of me din na na-discover how patient I can be and na masaya talaga magkaroon ng partner na katulad ni Gab na mapagbigay every time that we have scenes together. Ang saya din makakita ng bagong actor who’s so very willing to learn and nakaka-inspire kasi na ganun yung katrabaho mo eh. Mas gusto mo rin paghusayan para makatulong ka rin sa kanya.
“As of now I hope meron (kaming projects together), pero sa ngayon wala pang pinag-uusapan pero baka naman (laughs). Sana. in the future. Pero sayang nga kasi dapat marami rin kaming guestings together. Pero I think because hinintay muna kaming ma-vaccinate and all of that baka kaya hindi natuloy muna for now. But we were supposed to do so much for Init Sa Magdamag na sayang nga hindi natuloy. Sana matuloy pa in the future,” she added/
