As part of the iWant TFC Original Series My Sunset Girl, Jameson Blake shared his similarities to his current onscreen role.

“I play Lucas, a young man na free-spirited person. What I can say is he is parang he’s trapped between two identities na you’ll find out sa film. He’s loving, very respectful dun sa parents niya. Yun lang naman ang brief explanation. May mga small similarities lang siguro maybe with the family. Si Lucas he didn’t grow up with his real parents. Ako naman I grew up with my mom but I had a stepdad din. Hindi naman broken family pero in a lighter term I would say. I’m also adventurous din as a person and techie yung character ko and I think that’s also how I am as a person. Yun lang naman,” he said.

In My Sunset Girl, Jameson was reunited onscreen with Charlie Dizon whom he first worked with on Four Sisters Before the Wedding and in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

“I can say that we’re comfortable with each other now. Working with each again, I guess there’s adjustments in terms of our characters. Siyempre mas nagiging technical siguro yung adjustments namin kasi we’re comfortable with each other and everything’s so light na. So we just have to focus on the other parts like yung character. She helps me with my lines. We just help each other din there in the set,” he shared.

Working with Charlie after she won her first Best Actress award in the Metro Manila Film Festival for the entry Fan Girl, the 24-year-old actor said she is still as humble as she was before.

“One thing I noticed is that she’s the same person I like and she didn’t change porke’t may award na siya or anything. Pero I can see she’s more focused, she’s more professional when it comes to work. When I first met her, we weren’t working on projects like this. So now we are. Parang nakikita ko yug professionalism niya and at the same time, we got to be closer I can say. Other than that I’m very proud of her and her success from the start. Seeing her winning and all that puts a smile on my face lang,” he said.

Counting his underwater kissing scene with Charlie in My Sunset Girl as one of the more challenging scenes to do in the digital series, Jameson said he has no expectations whether they will be made a permanent love team or not even in future projects.

“Nung una kasi medyo takot sa water. Si Charlie nahirapan siya bumaba kasi we have to let the air out muna bago bumaba. Mga few takes lang naman tapos nakuha namin. Siguro I’m not looking at that side na ito yung magiging permanent love team ko. Siguro I’m just enjoying the process lang on how it’s going to go . I’ll just enjoy every project that we have together and make the most out of it one by one. So yun ang focus ko other than gaano katagal yung love team or how it’s going to go,” he said.

As for his personal life, Jameson admitted he is currently single. He was last linked to fellow Star Magic artist Elisse Joson. “It’s been a while since I experienced love,” he added.

My Sunset Girl is now available for streaming on iWant TFC. Starring Charlie Dizon, Jameson Blake, Mylene Dizon, and Joem Bascon. Directed by Andoy Ranay.
